Fasters from both sides jointly shared 26 wickets between them in the Test. Bhuvneshwar Kumar was the leading wicket taker for India in the first innings with 5/48 while Shami destroyed the opposition batting lineup in the second inning on the fourth day.
New Zealand lost their last seven wickets inside the 30 overs just for 62 runs, before tea break they were on 135/3 in 52 overs. Shami took three of them, while B Kumar did the remaining task. The two seamers attested that with a combined tally of 12 wickets in the match.
