Team India is favorites to win ICC Champions trophy for the second time. The whole team is in tremendous form having a immense experience from IPL 17. They have loud their chances by defeating arch rivals Pakistan by huge margin. This would definitely boost their confidence.
Group B consist of India, South Africa, Srilanka and Pakistan. The most tough encounter for India will be against South Africa. But in ICC tournaments, under pressure situations South Africa’s usually crumble down . India has edge over them in this kind of situations. So India has bright chances to reach semi finals.
The four teams who would qualify for Semis would be:
England, South Africa, India and Australia.
Most probably India will take on Australia in semi final. And if everything goes well India will fight against host England for the title. That would be the terrific clash because the current form of both teams is extraordinary. The home team has exceptionally capable players like skipper Eoin Morgan, Jos Buttler, Ben Stokes, Jason Roy, Plunkett, Chris Woakes and Moeen Ali. This is the perfect ODI team for England to win the title. But the team India has specially talented players like skipper Virat Kohli, MS Dhoni, Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan, Ravindra Jadeja, Ashwin, Jasprit Bumrha and Bhuvaneshwar Kumar, a perfect ODI combination. And India has huge experience in playing and wining big tournaments.
Let’s hope team India will do well and retain the title.
